A time waster for all of you. Here's a great little flash-based skiing game i've managed to already spend hours on. Real simple, left and right arrows to steer on the slope and spin when in the air. Up and down arrows to slow down on the slope, or to flip in the air. Stomp your lines by landing perfect spins in line with your takeoff to unlock different grabs, the more stomps in a row, the more grabs available. Click the "Stuff" button top-left to change mountain and find more lines. Awesome.

Barclay Crenshaw, better known under his moniker Claude VonStroke, has been the man behind two of dance musics most prolific labels of the past decade. DirtyBird and Mothership records have churned out endless amounts of floor fillers from the likes of Italoboyz, Riva Starr, Justin Martin, Catz 'N Dogz, Minilogue, and of course VonStroke himself. His offensive on the dance scene started undoubtedly with his single "The Whistler" which set of dancefloors worldwide and featured in a T-Mobile advertisement, and continued with a string of releases among which "Deepthroat," and the epic "Who's Afraid Of Detroit?" As a result of his success his name has become synonymous with a very cheeky breed of house and techno, whose innovative production is always sure to bring out a smile or two along with making sure those legs don't stop moving. So, as with any successful DJ-Producer around these days, it was just a matter of time until we saw him shortlisted for Fabric London's number 46. A great selection of tunes from his label repertoire, some of his own favorites, and a few upcoming releases are sure to cater to any dance music fan's ears.

Round 4 of the MotoGP season plays out this afternoon at the classic Circuit de La Sarthe at Le Mans, where reigning champ Valentino Rossi, team-mate Jorge Lorenzo and arch-rival Casey Stoner will battle it out for those precious championship points. This weekend has already been alive with action, including a crash and a couple of offs in the early practice sessions. There have been some last minute possibilities of rain reported early this morning, which will undoubtedly affect everyone's race strategy after 3 days of sun should it really play out as predicted. ok let me be honest with you, i skipped over this cd the first time i downloaded it and acted pretty damn naive and decided that on 5 second skims through each song that it wasn't that good and i deleted it. yeah. then i saw this guy is coming to town with Junior Boys and decided maybe i didn't give it the chance it deserved, as the hype was huge, reviews were rave, and Circlesquare really don't fuck around much. so glad i did. forget the cheeeeez title, to quote the Resident Advisor guys on the canadian-in-berlin: "The key word in the album's title is 'about'; it's all about the about...the dancing and drugs are gone, having taken all the pleasures of the night with them...Songs About Dancing And Drugs is the perfect soundtrack to eating a doner kebab alone at sunrise after stumbilng out of the club."

F1 Spanish GP, 2009

Fifth round of the 2009 F1 "circus" takes place today in Barcelona. With 90% of the teams bringing updates to their package it seems that Ferrari have made the biggest step forward. Even after a 1-2 lead in Practice 3, they remain realistic and ensure us that even though their leap forward is significant, that they still don't think they're up there with the front runners Brawn GP and co. Will remain to be seen what happens, the race is on at 14:00 (13:00 GMT), and i highly reccommend BBC One's coverage, they have been doing a fantastic job so far, miles better than ITV in the previous years, and...NO COMMERCIALS :) if you're outside of the UK, get yourself a little program called Zattoo. enjoy :)

Elephant & Soldier - First Shots EP

alrighty, some promotion for a friend of a friend. Elephant & Soldier is Cardiff based musician Sam Goudie and his troupe of musicians. This is his first and self-released ep, he's had 200 downloads in the first week (which was a while ago to be honest), has been on the BBC radio, and is busy with gigs and dj'sets in the cardiff area. think along the lines of bon iver.

Japandroids - Post-Nothing

right i heard about these guys from a buddy of mine living out in Vancouver at the moment. Japandroids are from there. And their album is sweet. This recording got a "Best New Music" review from Pitchfork, a mecca for the indie people. To be honest i'm not sure i agree with all their reviews but this record definitely holds one of those special places in my listening repertoire. fuzzy, melancholy, awesome.

The label has been at the forefront of house music since their start-up and there's no better way to prove it that with their latest release. Odd Nosdam's latest release stems from an Element Skateboards video. His experimental hip-hop a la RJD2 pulls samples from everywhere, covering everything from ethereal soundscapes to fuzzed-up guitar licks. Strange you may think, that he saves his best work for a piece that in the end isn't entirely his, but at the same time, this is proving that there are still some musicians who simply don't care about the commercial side of things, and who are more than happy to lay down some epic tuneage no matter what the occasion. sweet stuff.
